Tim Gaines
A graduate of ECCHS in 1983, Tim completed his studies at UGA in 1987 with
a BSEd in Parks & Rec Management.
After spending seven years as Athletic Supervisor for the City of
Snellville, he moved to a position as the Park Administrator for the South
Gwinnett Athletic Association and remained there for 26 years and managed
eight different youth sports programs. While there he developed a grass
roots inline hockey program that culminated in the building of a 40,000
square ft indoor facility that still hosts local leagues, regional and
national hockey tournaments.
He also started and served as Board member for the Greater Gwinnett
Baseball League (GGBL) and developed a scholarship program that has
awarded over $100K to it's former players for their secondary education,
founded the Middle School Golf League (MSGL), managed the Gwinnett Middle
School Fastpitch Softball League, served as Dixie Youth District Director,
and Ga State Director for Grand Slam Tournaments.
Tim has been married to Amanda for 32 years and they raised three boys in
Loganville - Tate, Mason and Walt - and became grandparents to Maggie in
2019. He took over for longtime Parks and Rec Director and classmate Greg
Johnson in January 2021 and is happy to be back home.

Antwan Heard, CYSA
Antwan is a native of Elbert County and is a 2007 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School. He graduated from Athens Technical College in 2011 with a Marketing and Management Diploma. He has been with ECPR for several years and enjoys working with the youth and community. He is an active member of Georgia Recreation Parks Association (GRPA) his certifications include Certified Youth Sports Administrator and First Aid and CPR. He is an active member of Love In Action in Elberton, Georgia where he serves as a Youth Advisor. During his spare time, he love spending time with his wife, kids, family, and friends. He and his wife Tamiya are proud parents of two sons and one daughter. Antwan is very passionate about helping kids/teenagers become successful in life while making a positive impact in the community.

Brayden, a 2020 Elbert County Comprehensive High School, was born and raised in Elbert County. Brayden played four years of college baseball while working towards his degrees in Associate of Science in Business Administration at Andrew College (Junior College) and Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor degree in sports management at Emmanuel University. Although this is his first year at the REC Department, Brayden has been giving baseball lessons to the youth of the surrounding counties for three and a half years now. Brayden loves developing and seeing hard work pay off in young ball players, all while striving to be a role model for the future generations of Elbert County.
